Behind the Blue

“Blue holds a special place in my heart. Its significance goes beyond color; it is the very hue of my eyes, a trait shared only with my grandfather. This profound connection to the color blue has guided me to reach for the stars with this business endeavor. Our goal is to unify through a heart-centric approach, offering a creative outlet and imparting the wisdom gleaned from life’s trials. Like a Nova, which emerges when two stars collide, my venture represents a fresh start and a radiant beacon illuminating the path ahead. Why Nova?

A nova is created when two stars collide creating an undeniable explosion of light. The Nova in our business name serves as a metaphor for the collision of my original and blended family. My ex-husband and father of my biological children died of an overdose. I remarried in 2019 to a man who had been married for 28 years and lost his wife to cancer, leaving their son and a daughter without their mother.  Both my ex-husband and my huband’s wife died on the very same day, May 10, 2018. Therefore, we have a blended family of young adult children that have lost their respective parents. It is our desire that workshop in a powerful way to cast a positive undeniable light (Nova) for the world. Our journey began in Avon, Indiana, where we blended our family with our adult children; notably, Avon spelled backward forms "Nova." Thus, the Blue Nova Workshop embodies a serene and inspiring workshop experience, born from our Nova's origins in Avon, Indiana.
